Each eo SwimBETTER account is personalised to the swimmer using it – including critical data like hand width and length. These measurements are used to calculate power output based on hand surface area, which means accuracy depends on the measurements being specific to the swimmer.
If you share your account with someone else, you'll need to update these measurements every time the handsets are used by a different swimmer – which will get frustrating fast. It also creates problems with data accuracy and progress tracking, as your sessions will be mixed in with theirs unless you manually delete or disable the swims that aren’t yours.
Here’s what we recommend:
- For one-off test swims by other swimmers: It’s fine to let someone record on your account using your measurements – just remind them the power data won’t be 100% accurate. Once they’ve reviewed the session, we recommend deleting the file so it doesn’t interfere with your progress tracking.
- For regular use by other swimmers: Each swimmer should create their own eo account and purchase their own membership (monthly or annual). You can still share the handsets, but this ensures each swimmer’s data is calculated using their own measurements and stored separately – giving everyone a clear picture of their performance over time.
